Hello Church Family,

Just outside my window is a massive tent. I hope you can join us here for our Mirror Day celebration. From 9:00am to 10:15pm there are events happening throughout the town. Our main attraction is the Dr. Von Houligan’s traveling circus which will have two shows in the afternoon. Be sure to take in the Food Bank Hot Dog / Bratwurst fundraiser, as well as the afternoon Scavenger Hunt. It will be a great time!

Stranger on the Road to Emmaus will begin at 2:30pm on Sunday after service.

On Sunday, May 28 we will have a picnic and games to end the Sunday School for the summer. Please bring food to share, lawn chairs, and outside games if you have them (i.e. bocce ball, ladder ball, etc). All are welcome! The last Sunday School lesson will be Sunday, June 4 though.

Burger for a Buck: Dates for Burger for a Buck this summer are June 18, July 16 and August 27.

Remember to grab a baby bottle or envelope to help support the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre, our missionary focus this month. Bottles are due back on Father’s Day (June 18).

Hello Church Family,

Church cleanup will be on Saturday from 9:00-12:00. A few things that could be done: raking gravel from the grass back into the parking lot, Rob is bringing a weed sprayer for around the trees, some touch up painting, window washing, sanding barrel removal, and so much more! Please bring some of your own tools, mops, rakes etc.. If we have some extra labour we can help out around the town.

After the cleanup we are invited to the library (or community hall?) for a hot dog lunch sponsored by the county! After lunch there will be a crew going to the campground to get it ready for the Saturday, May 20 Mirror Day celebration.

Many of our church family are involved in planning the Mirror Day celebration. We have a traveling circus coming to town and many other family events from 8:00am-11:00pm.

But back to this weekend, Stranger on the Road to Emmaus starts Sunday at 3:00pm. Yes, I know it is Mother’s Day, but your mother would love for you to come and learn more about the Bible wouldn’t she? Maybe bring her along???

And at 1:00pm, or shortly after service, there will be a VBS planning meeting.

Remember to grab a baby bottle or envelope to help support the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre, our missionary focus this month. Bottles are due back on Father’s Day.
