Weekly Update – January 11, 2017

| Posted by in Uncategorized

Hello Church Family,

Here we are in week 2 of the 5-Day Bible Reading Plan. Keep going! And, if you haven’t started yet, just jump in today. Don’t worry about catching up, just start today with Genesis 21-23, Psalm 107, and Mark 8. You can do it, and I’ve been getting some positive feedback from people already 🙂

Lot’s of things are starting up again in the new year:

This Saturday in Red Deer is a training session for Creation Ministries Speakers. For $100 you get $50 in resources and lunch and some great training!

Along the Creation Ministries vein we will be hosting Gus Olsthoorn at our church on Saturday, May 6 at 6:30pm. He will be giving two talks that evening. Start spreading the word, and mark your calendars!

True Girls Club is Sunday, January 15 from 1:00-3:00pm at the church.

Women’s Bible Study is starting Wednesday, January 18 and will run from 10:00am to noon at the church. Childcare will be available. All women are invited! Book: Psalms: Finding the Way to Prayer and Praise by Kathleen Nielson.  There is homework (broken up into 5 days). If you are not able to work through the lesson at home, come anyways! We will look at many of the questions together on Wednesday mornings as we learn from God’s Word together. We will look at the questions from lesson 1 on January 18.
Note: We start January 18 and run to April 19. (There will be no study February 22 and March 29).

Women’s Ministry Meeting is Saturday, January 21 at 7:00pm at the church. All women are welcome.

Sunday, January 22 and February 5 from 1:30-4:30pm is the discipleship program at the church.

On January 29 we will be hearing from the Meglis as they prepare to enter the mission field.

Church Annual Meeting is Sunday, February 26 after potluck.

Our missionary focus for the month of January is Home of Hope. Please pray for them this month especially.
