Hello Church Family,

Mirror Alliance Church is a disciple-making church focused on the Word of God, Prayer, and Community. I’m excited to see how this vision begins to shape our church life!

This Friday night is the second week of the Ladies’ Study at the church. Living Beyond Yourself continues tonight at 7:30pm at the church.

Next Wednesday (October 4) at 1:30pm at the church there is another Ladies’ Study beginning studying Colossians. Check out the book in the foyer table.

Then that evening we will have our first church prayer meeting. The plan is to have prayer meetings on the first and third Wednesdays at 7:30pm at the church. Hopefully soon we can branch out and have satellite meetings going on closer to all your homes. Let’s get things established here at the church and then branch out!

Details for the Ladies’ Retreat are in: Check in is between 5 and 7pm, the first session is at 7:30pm. Please eat supper before arriving. There will be childcare provided. Bring sheets/sleeping bags and pillows. Beds are mostly twins but there are a few double mattresses. The second session is at 10am on Saturday morning. And don’t let the cost keep you away; there are sponsorships available. 🙂

The Apple Fundraiser for the Christian School continues watch for that sign up sheet in the foyer.

Soon it will be October, Gasp! If you haven’t already started the 5-Day reading, or maybe if you’ve started but got derailed, why not start in October and you will have read 1/4 of the Bible by the end of December. Wouldn’t that be a great feeling? And for those of us still on track, keep going!

And soon it will be Thanksgiving Sunday. Two weeks away! Our church has a tradition of having a service of song and personal testimony and thanksgiving to God. Please consider what you might be able to share with everyone so that we can worship the God who is right there with us through both the good and the bad.

The mission focus for October will be Samaritan’s Purse Canada. Samaritan’s Purse has been doing essential relief and development work in Jesus’ Name all around the world since 1970. They also reach out to children through their annual Operation Christmas Child program.
