Weekly Update – November 22, 2017

November 22nd, 2017 | Posted by John Klassen in Uncategorized

Hello Church Family,

5-Day Bible Reading: We are 88% of the way through! Maybe you can join us for the final month of December?

I also encourage you to re-read Ephesians in preparation for Sunday. We will be looking at highlights from the book, and starting an Advent series the week afterwards.

This Friday night is a Youth Games night for our youth group. 7-9pm at the church.

Sunday is Potluck Sunday, and the theme is “Kids’ food.” Maybe the kids cook, maybe you cook their favourites, or a blast from your own past? Adventure awaits 🙂

On Wednesday, November 29, Joe Social Media is presenting at the Bashaw School Gym. This is an opportunity for parents, grandparents and caregivers to learn about the virtual world of Facebook, Twitter, etc… The cost is $5 per household and it starts at 6:30pm. www.joesocialmedia.com

Chocolate Houses! Registration and Payment deadline is Dec 6. $15 if you bring your own decorations and candy, $30 to have them provided. You can build either a Chocolate House, Candy Store and small sleigh, or a Large Chocolate Sleigh. Construction takes place Monday and Tuesday Dec 18, 19 from 7-9pm. (You need to come both days.) Eating of them takes place shortly afterwards!

Wednesday, December 6 is also the Mirror Library’s Christmas Tea and Bake Sale. 1-3:30.

The Homeschool Choir is performing December 15-17 in Lacombe, Ponoka and Camrose.

Please remember Home of Hope in your prayers this month.
