Family Challenge

Family Challenge is a fun night of simple challenges that you can attempt as a family. Building spaghetti towers, paper airplane competitions, racing RC cars… you get the idea. Plus, each night we’ll have a challenge from God’s Word with a task for your family for that week. Don’t have a family? That’s ok – you can adopt one for the night!

Starts January 20th – End March 9th
Friday Nights: 6:30-8:00pm

The Alpha Course

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. It’s a place where people can come and ask questions, delve into issues and look for answers together.

Tuesday Nights – Starts with supper @ 6:00pm - Goes to 8:00pm
Begins January 17th – Ends April 3rd

Walk

WALK is a great way to keep fit during the winter months. We will be walking together in the Mirror School building – recording our total distance each week to see just how far we’ve travelled! We will also be ‘walking’ through the Book of Mark – keeping spiritually fit as we learn together.

Day of the week to be determined by participants

We will be examining 1 & 2 Peter as we work through what it means to be “an alien” on this planet until Christ calls us home.

Final Stages Before Moving In

After nine months of construction, we are nearly ready to move into our new church building! At the time of this update, we are just two weeks away from our first service in the new building. Needless to say, we are very excited! Here are just a few more pictures to give you an idea of what things are looking like these days.

With nearly all of our “outside” work complete, our attention turns to the interior of our new building.

Great progress has been made since we last gave you an update. So here’s a few more pictures to keep you up-to-date with the building project.
First of all, a big thanks to the Alliance Community Church from Sylvan Lake! They sent out a great crew to help with the shingling.

Then we tackled the siding.

Next came the in-floor heating, which was followed by the concrete floor.

And before things got real cold, we poured our sidewalks. To date, we have our interior walls complete and are currently working on the electrical and the plumbing. November 27th will be our drywall day (We invite you out to help with that – 9:00am Saturday morning), so we plan to be insulated and heated by then! Praise God!
